Portal user guide

This guide describes every screen of the Navin Platform portal, in the order of the navigation menu: what the screen shows, every action and button, the roles needed and the typical tasks step by step. The Navin Manager console (clusters, machines, services, operations, configuration, backups, support bundles, GPUs and the vault) has its own documentation; the portal has no Platform Manager space.

Before you begin​

  • Open the portal with your organization account (Keycloak OIDC) or an API key.
  • Your roles decide which buttons are active: a button you may not use is disabled or hidden. The role of each action is given on the page of the screen.
  • The tenant is always resolved from your credential, never from the request.

Console top bar​

On the right of the top bar, next to the "Open in the Manager console" button (reserved to platform_admin):

  • Documentation (book icon): opens the documentation site of the platform in a new tab. The portal serves it itself at /docs: the French version (/docs/) when the interface is in French, the English version (/docs/en/) when it is in English. The button is visible to every role. When the site is not built, the page answers "Documentation unavailable" (status 503).

The vault of the service credentials lives only in the Navin Manager console, opened by the "Open in the Manager console" button: see Vault.

On a narrow screen only the icons stay visible; a tooltip describes each button.
