The MCP runtime page (/mcp-runtime) installs the ToolHive Kubernetes Operator and manages the MCP instances it
runs. It needs cluster:read; installing needs services:install, operating the instances needs services:operate.
What the screen shows
| Element | Content |
|---|
| ToolHive operator | installed version and state of the operator |
| MCP instances | instances run by the operator, with their state |
Actions
| Button | Effect | Permission |
|---|
| Install ToolHive | installs the operator in the cluster | services:install |
| Restart | restarts an MCP instance | services:operate |
| Destroy | destroys an MCP instance | services:operate |
Typical tasks
- Prepare the runtime. Install ToolHive, then check the operator state.
- Recover an instance. Restart it; if it stays failed, Destroy it and create it again from
MCP servers.
