Kubernetes
The Kubernetes page (/kubernetes) manages a cluster of kind Kubernetes: discovery, platform add-ons and
managed components applied by the Platform Operator. It is shown only when the selected cluster is a Kubernetes
cluster, and needs cluster:read. Actions need cluster:manage, hosts:manage, services:install or
services:operate.
What the screen shows
| Element | Content |
|---|---|
| Discovery | namespaces, nodes and workloads found in the cluster |
| Platform add-ons | charts the operator applies, with their state |
| Components | managed components with their replicas and PDB min available |
Actions
| Button | Effect | Permission |
|---|---|---|
| Discover | reads the cluster (k8s.discovery) | cluster:manage |
| Install an add-on or a component | installation requested; the operator applies the chart | services:install |
| Start, Stop, Rolling restart | request to the operator; the state updates when the operator confirms it | services:operate |
| Remove | removes the component and every object the operator applied for it | services:install |
Typical tasks
- Connect a cluster. Set the Kubernetes target in Infrastructure operations, then Discover.
- Install a component. Install, then wait until the state shows the confirmation of the operator.
The concepts are in Kubernetes mode.
